LAB FOR LIFELONG SOUND DYSFUNCTIONS is a newly initiated project by composers and artists Lars Åkerlund, Lise-Lotte Norelius, Sten Backman and Daniel Rozenhall. In Lab for Lifelong Sound Dysfunctions, the four artists work in different constellations and collaborations with each other, to create new creative and artistic meetings in the borderland between the notated, the fixed and the improvised, between the musical and the visual. In January 2018 Lab for Lifelong Sound Dysfunctions will make a tour in southeast Asia. The aim of the tour is as well to develop the cooperation between the four members of the group, as to create circles of contacts and possibilities for exchanges with practitioners and arrangers in the growing scene for experimental music, sound art and intermedial artforms in southeast Asia. In this way, the aim is also to create knowledge and interest for Swedish experimental music, sound art and intermedia art in this part of the world, and to develop cooperation in the experimental music and art scene between East and West.
